Application Guidance & Tips
You may not have applied for a job for some time. So take a moment to decide how you approach your CV & the interview process.
Your CV
Think about the role you're applying for and tailor your CV accordingly. It’s important that you clearly present all your relevant skills, experience and training.
Be succinct, but not too short. A single page doesn't really tell us enough about you, but a good CV should never be more than two to three pages.
Finally, remember to bring a copy of your CV along to your interview.
The interview
Your interview is a chance for us to get a picture of you and your abilities. But it’s a two-way process. You need to also understand how we work. So do some background research on Unilever and, on the day, feel free to ask questions.
There are no right or wrong answers. We'll give you the opportunity to be honest and open. That makes the whole process far more constructive and will help both you and us decide whether we're right for each other.
We'll ask you about your experiences. We’re looking for examples of roles and responsibilities but they don't all have to be work-related. Think about achievements you've had in other contexts such as socially, academically or in the community.
Finally, try to relax. Interviews are an important part of the process but can be nerve-wracking. We’ll do everything we can to make you feel comfortable. After all, we want to use the time to find out as much as possible about what you can bring to the team.
