The sky's the limit

With your knowledge, enthusiasm and determination, you'll have a real influence on future product design and innovation, factory performance, productivity, quality standards and customer service, starting from day one.

The Manufacturing/Engineering apprenticeships focus on applicants educated to a minimum of 5 GCSE's, with Maths, English and Science as mandatory requirements.

For both Logistics and Quality business areas, recruitment will focus on A Level or equivalent qualifications (e.g. BTEC National Certificate) preferably in Maths and Business subjects. These 3 year programmes will provide placements within the various business areas, followed by a final year improvement project.

The R&D apprenticeships require those educated to A Level standard (or equivalent) including Chemistry or Physics.

Depending on the route you choose, you will be embarking on a study programme, which will be a blend of academic learning at College or University, at the same time as developing your skills and competencies onsite at Unilever. At the end of your programme, you'll be qualified to a minimum of BTEC Higher National Certificate/Foundation Degree and specifically in the R&D roles, a BEng/BSc degree.

A varied career

This is the chance to embark on a career within a global corporation, where development opportunities and work placements are available not just locally, but on a national and international basis too.

Within the UK, even during the 4-year Manufacturing/Engineering apprenticeship, there will be the opportunity for rotating placements within the various product range environments. The apprenticeship also provides project and installation opportunities, as well as advanced engineering and product technologies, including automated high-speed production lines, robotics and pneumatics.

In R&D you will follow a 4 to 5 year apprenticeship and have the opportunity to rotate from your specialist business area to other R&D areas, including packaging, formulation, processing development, consumer insight and analytical.

One thing you can be certain of, you'll be part of a major international company, enjoying the rewards and opportunities this can bring!
