Research & Development
How does Unilever develop groundbreaking new products such as Lynx Click or Flora Pro.activ?
Our products are constantly evolving, pushed to new heights by the talented people who work in Research & Development. If you join them, you’ll make things healthier, more appealing, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly. In short, you’ll improve our products in any way possible. R&D is a hotbed of ideas for brands, products, packaging, manufacturing and technology.
Over two years and a number of placements you’ll work with teams from across the business, rolling out projects, landing new technology into markets and looking at longerterm science projects in one of our global R&D centres. You’ll also focus on Manufacturing – working out how we take a prototype all the way to full-scale production. What’s more, we’ll make sure you experience at least one placement outside of R&D, to help you understand the fuller scope of our business. You’ll need a specific degree – in either Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, Physical Science, Behavioural Science or Design, or any other relevant technical area or discipline. We’re looking for the kind of scientists who want to use their skills to benefit a successful global business.
